We thought we’d share some lovely words from couples recently married at South Farm
We are always grateful for the wonderful feedback we receive from our couples, it makes our job so worthwhile. This is true more than ever right now and while Weddings are sadly paused again for a short time we want to share the wonderful feedback we have received from recent weddings. We feel blessed to have been able to be a part of all your special days over the last few months and it warms our heart to hear your lovely words. Thank you to everyone for their kindnesss – we can’t wait for the time we can get back to doing what we love again.

We planned to get married on 29th April at South farm, but due to covid we had to postpone.
South farm were incredible throughout the entire process! They kept us in the loop with everything, and held our hands as our dream of a massive wedding had to be altered.Our new date was 30th September, planned for 30 people- a huge reduction from the original 150, but we knew that South farm would still make it perfect for us! Well, just for fun, the government decided to change restrictions again from 28th September and we were left with the predicament of reducing to just 15 people, a near enough impossible option for us as our immediate family is so huge. We were heart broken at the thought of another set back, and after coming so close this time we didn’t really know what options we were left with.
And this is where the real magic of South farm, and how accommodating they are really sets in… amazingly they had availability for us to bring our day forward and get married with 30 people on 25th September. With their incredible help and support (especially Emily and Helen) we managed to pull together the most beautiful, perfect, and intimate wedding within 2 days!
We’re still on a massive wedding day buzz now. I’d get married here all day every day if I could.

We had a really lovely wedding reception at South Farm last Saturday. We initially decided upon this venue for its beautiful outdoor space and the number of guests it could welcome. Of course no one could foresee the Coronavirus situation, but we have been so impressed by South Farm’s response with their packages for smaller weddings. Even with a reception 1/6 of our intended size (and in the rain!) the space was used very well so that the reception still felt lively. The food was outstanding, the staff as welcoming as ever, and some of our friends could still stay over and enjoy a stroll around in the grounds with us in the morning.
Thanks South Farm for showing us that ‘good things come in small packages’!!!
We got married at South Farm in August and we can’t recommend them enough!
The venue is just so beautiful but it’s the team that makes this place special. Nothing is out of the question and they have a truly individual approach. We loved this personable treatment as having viewed other venues and been to wedding fayres a lot of places felt very formulaic and we didn’t want a churned out, identikit ‘cookie cutter’ wedding, we wanted to get married somewhere that felt like ‘us’. South Farms ‘Distinctly Different’ motto was perfect for us and we loved sharing ideas with the team about making our day just right for us, from the veggie menu we created, to the decor and the special drinks, everything was exactly how we wanted it.
Whilst this year has been really tough for wedding planning and the industry as a whole South Farm stayed calm and informed keeping us up to date on the changing government restrictions and were prepared and forward thinking with what they could offer throughout. We had our wedding with 30 people and within all the government guidelines of the time but it was still our perfect big day and we’re so glad we went ahead.
Whilst the planning felt fun and easy, the day itself was also a breeze with South Farms event planning team running the event like clockwork without you realising so that you can kick back and just enjoy! A big thank you to Michelle who kept everything running smoothly on our day! I didn’t even have chance to feel anxious or panic about anything as it felt like everything was sorted for me!
It was truly special, thank you South Farm!
