Ceremonies at South Farm

South Farm offers an enviable choice of licensed ceremony spaces. Choose from one of South Farm’s four ceremony options within which to make your vows in the presence of your nearest and dearest in the most stunning of settings.

The Summer House

There is something truly magical about a garden ceremony at South Farm as up to 180 guests take their seats in anticipation of the marriage ceremony. The Summer House, set atop the pond with stunning views all-around of South Farm’s gardens, can be adorned with flowers and bunting or let to speak for itself, the choice is yours. The bride’s entrance winds from the Grade II listed house through the gardens and down the central aisle to meet her groom where the couple enter the summer house together to make their vows in the most romantic of settings.

The Tudor Barn

A dramatic entrance is guaranteed in South Farm’s impressive but welcoming Tudor Barn. With its honey coloured historic beams and lofty ceilings, the Tudor Barn presents a splendid setting for a perfect barn wedding ceremony.  Up to 180 guests can be seated for a barn ceremony under the twinkling fairy lights adorning the ancient beams. Add your unique touches to make your special day complete. Almost anything goes from opulent floral arrangements, simple greenery, vintage inspired bunting, flickering candle lanterns and twinkling fairy lights. Transform our beautiful barn backdrop and make your vows in a fairy tale setting.

The Old Dairy

Welcoming guests with its light airy conservatory feel, the lovely Old Dairy, is the perfect setting for a special indoor ceremony.  Seating up to 100 guests under the stunning timber beams the bride makes her entrance from the neighbouring Granary, a room to share a few pre-ceremony moments with her bridesmaids, before walking down the aisle. Upon meeting her groom the couple make their vows in the company of their friends and family in this beautiful rustic setting. Never failing to impress; this rustic wedding venue, whether dressed with abundant flowers or simply speaking for itself the Old Dairy is a truly lovely light-filled room with just the right sense of drama for a romantic wedding ceremony.

The Drawing Room

South Farm’s elegant formal drawing room situated in the Grade II listed house is the perfect setting for intimate ceremonies.  Leading from the main house hallway with its impressive fireplace the Drawing Room is decorated in classic country house style and is the perfect romantic storybook setting for the Bride and Groom to make their vows in front of their nearest and dearest.

South Farm is licensed for Wedding Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships by Cambridgeshire County Council. Ceremonies must be booked with the Registrars as well as South Farm. For details click here.
