If you need some assistance on where to start with choosing your menu, we have put together a guide especially for you:
If you’re looking for wedding venues in Hertfordshire and south west Cambridgeshire, maybe our remarkable smallholding can help you make a decision. It supplies nearly all our vegetables, herbs, fruit, eggs and pork whatever the season. We grow literally hundreds of vegetable varieties, with passion and care. It’s the key to our ultra-fresh, organic, seasonal wedding food menu. Our chefs love to share their recipes with the public, so if you are feeling inspired then check out our Kitchen Recipes on our Farm & Garden site!
Tasting is believing
We offer complimentary Menu Tasting evenings to our couples booking on a bespoke basis. See, taste and rate over 30 of our signature dishes. Visit our five starred kitchen, presided over by catering partner Christine. All our wedding food is cooked to the moment and beautifully presented.
Wedding Breakfast Options
Now make your choices. An exquisite formal three course served menu or any one of a number of buffets. Options include the classic Formal Three Course Wedding Breakfast, Fusion Feast, a Hog Roast like no other you ever tasted, Hot Buffet, eat as much as you wish, or the time honoured BBQ. Plus delicious salads of every variety. Prefer something else? That’s no trouble at all; just tell us what you wish for and let Christine do the rest. Her ethnic range is extensive and meets all tastes and budgets.
In the Evening
And for the evening? Maybe a delicious 7 item finger buffet if extra guests arrive, Hog or Lamb Roast Rolls for something a little different, or your Wedding Cake with our Panini’s, Bacon Butties or a Cheese Board to top up your all day guests.
Eat, drink and be merry on this day above all. We have a friendly, flexible drinks policy. Choose from our well-chosen competitively priced sale or return wine list, bring your own on a corkage basis if you prefer, dispense as much or as little as you wish and let our well stocked, reasonably priced paid bar do the rest.
Please have a look at our A Guide To Choosing Drinks for more helpful information.
Generous hosts should budget on the equivalent of a mixed bottle per head from the start of the drinks reception through to toasting your health with the speeches. That might be a couple of glasses of Bucks Fizz, Pimms or our very own Elderlinis (homemade Elderflower cordial and sparkling wine) while photos are taken, half a bottle of wine with the Wedding Breakfast, and a fizzing glass to wish you well.
Service and Bar
Well stocked and staffed, our wedding food catering service extends to a bar that can open at any time and run on a paid basis unless your generosity runs even further. It’s waitress service at the Reception and during the Wedding Breakfast, and a well manned bar in the evening. We are licensed until 1am on Saturdays, and midnight the rest of the week.
