The Barnyard at South Farm will be a twinkling Christmas Paradise, open for Luncheons, Dinners and Exclusive or Join-In Party Nights, ideal for Office Parties and private outings.
We are offering a scrumptious menu that relies heavily on our own home grown ingredients and signature dishes, served in our stunningly restored Tudor Barn. B&B We have four lovely en-suite double rooms available for guests, prefectly located for exploring North Hertfordshire, South Cambridgeshire and for vistiting Cambridge itself. We have two self-catering apartments which can be rented as a luxurious B&B room for a short holiday let.
We are fully licensed and can provide breakfast, lunch and dinner as required. Guests are welcome to relax in the beautiful drawing room, enjoy the beautiful gardens and visit the Nature Reserve or use the heated swimming pool in the summer months. Parties, Celebrations, Luncheons, Dinners, etc... We are happy to hold any type of party from small to large. The house itself is suitable for small dinner parties of up to 14, or cocktail parties for up to 40, the striking conservatory can seat about 40 (80 after this winter's work completed) and the Tudor Barn can seat up to 150 (250 with a marquee add on) or hold 300 for a party.
We are very flexible and like to allow people to use the facilities as they wish. We have extensive menus to suit every occasion and budget, with most of the ingredients produced on site. We are fully licensed and have an entertainment licence. Garden Tours and Charity Open Days The garden at South Farm is listed in the Good Garden Guide and has been frequently featured in the media. We open for charity under the National Gardens Scheme and for the Cambridge Red Cross.
Gardeners Clubs and other groups are welcome by appointment for a conducted visit. We also offer a combined visit to the gardens with cropping vegetables, fruit, eggs and fish in season, a cooking demonstration and eating the end results. Please click here for more information. Film Location South Farm is an ideal location for photo shoots and film productions. We have had several photo shoots here in the past and BBC TV's Top of the Pops filmed a one hour special here last year. They were on this location for two full days with a crew of over 90.
We have excellent infrastructure, with three-phase power, ample parking, on site catering and many different scenes including country house, traditional farmyard, large barns or function rooms, stunning conservatory with Rousseau style murals, paddocks, rare breed pigs and poultry, ponds, lake and nature reserve and wonderful gardens, all only 37 minutes by train from London. |
