The Old Dairy

Built in 1862, the most modern of the old barns, and now restored to its original size, this fine old building is 60 foot long and 15 wide. It seats 100 guests for Weddings Ceremonies and is licensed for 175 party style. It’s the ideal wet weather alternative to a garden wedding, and for coffee after the Wedding Breakfast, giving us time to reconfigure the Barn for an evening party.

The Terrace

Flanking the largely glazed outer side of the Old Dairy is an extensive York stone Terrace, the perfect place for coffee with views of the setting sun. At one end it joins the Formal Garden and the outdoor wedding ceremony area. At the other is the Herb Garden, leading to the potager, and on to the kitchen. You can’t get fresher or closer than that! Beyond the terrace lie acres of new lawn, just right for games, a bouncy castle or a cricket match.

The Granary

The Granary adjoins the Old Dairy. It has multiple functions, providing the Bride with a quiet moment before entering down the aisle, a perfect room for a crèche or child’s playroom, a bottle bar on wet days or photo booth in the evening. The room also contains disabled access/toilet and baby change.

Barnyard and Walkway

As you come out of the Old Dairy, you make your way down the flower decked walkway to the Tudor Barn. To your left you can stop and look at the animals and at night with its twinkling fairy lights and heaters it provides a warm, beautiful place to enjoy a drink outside or a through way back to the Old Dairy.
