The Farmhouse

The front door of the house is the best point of entry to South Farm. It leads into the double storey entrance Hall, a magnificent fireplace and stack rises clear to the ceiling. Straight ahead French windows lead into the garden terrace, with flower beds and lawns beyond.

To the left is the spacious Drawing Room, beautifully furnished in classic country house style, with fine old paintings and a collection of rare illustrated Natural History books. Licensed for smaller ceremonies for up to 35, it can also be used for a formal presentation line on arrival, or for drinks in conjunction with the Hall, capacity at 55. If used as part of our wedding venue in Cambridgeshire, it can also provide a quiet evening spot away from the music, if desired.

Beyond the Hall lies the core of the original Tudor farmhouse, quarry tiled floors and a cosy sitting room with a traditional farm house kitchen built either side of the huge Tudor brick double inglenook fireplace.

Upstairs there is an en-suite guest room, looking out over the courtyard, as well as the principal family rooms.
