South Farm is an exciting, new and distinctly different venue for weddings and social and corporate occasions of every description, serving Cambridge City, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. With total seclusion and privacy, stunning grounds and wonderful cuisine it is the ideal setting for any memorable event.

South Farm is a beautifully restored farm house set in ten acres of landscaped grounds. The gardens are featured in the Good Garden Guide, we grow the majority of our ingredients on an organic basis and recently we won the Greene King Caterer of the Year Award. The property, in South West Cambridgeshire, is within easy reach of Cambridge, the A1 corridor, the M11, Stansted and Luton airports, and so is ideally suited as a wedding venue for anywhere within Cambridgeshire or Hertfordshire.

We cater for anything from small candlelit dinners for special occasions to formal weddings for 250 people, as well as conferences and fishing days on our private nature reserve. We have a wide range of menus to suit any event, mood or budget, and we deliver food throughout North Hertfordshire and South Cambridgeshire for business lunches and parties. We have good green credentials. The site was derelict when we came here in 1974, and we have patiently restored the listed farm buildings and house, created beautiful gardens, established an organic smallholding to supply fruit, veg,eggs and pork for our kitchen, and our private nature reserve has otters, crayfish, barn owls and rare dragonflies. The relationship with our clients is symbiotic, much of the revenue being ploughed back into restoration and creating a self sufficient operation.  Please contact us if you have any questions or wish to arrange a visit.

Mid-Week Wedding Special Offer Package

In response to the economic downturn we have recently introduced a mid-week special offer, available until the end of 2009, which strips out a lot of the costs involved with the bespoke arrangements that apply to most of our weekend bookings, and is priced on a marginal costing basis.  Please click here for more details.

Our customers always tell us that our food is the best that they have ever tasted, but now we are  celebrating  recognition by the catering industry after being named the National Caterer of the Year in the Greene King Free Trade Excellence Awards 2007.
